Funeral Services for Mr. Anthony Depriest Rabbit" Melvin age 34 of Loris Community will be held at the Loris High School Auditorium on Friday, August 2nd at twelve noon. Burial will take place at the Silver Star Cemetery - Bayboro Community. He was the son of Francis Lee Green and the late Jasper Depriest Melvin . Anthony was born in the Loris Community Hospital on January 7, 1985. He departed his earthly home July 28, 2019 following a motorcycle accident. "Rabbit" as he was fondly called, attended Horry County Public Schools and was employed with the City of Loris for almost 6 years. He never met a stranger and all that knew him, loved him. He was funny, easy going and loving to everyone he met. He believed in family and loved his family dearly. He was a protector, hard worker, and a joy to be around. He loved motorcycles and spent his free time fixing, riding or racing them.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Francis Lee Green; his fiance' Mary Young; one son Malik Baldwin of Rochester, NY. Two special children, Frederick Lee Green,Jr. and Christina Young of the home and four other step children: Ajayliaya, Cyris, Xavier and Jaylin. He had 11 siblings: Frederick L.Green of Loris, SC, Dwayne (Danielle) Green of Burlington, NJ, McKenzie Green of Washington, D.C. Greggory "Chubba" Melvin of Loris, SC, Patrice Jones of Rock Hill, SC, Kenyatta Alford, Lenar "Dee" Jordan, Tameka Jarrett, Jameika Coakley, Shamar Grate and Jazmine Jarrett all of Loris, SC. A special sister and cousin, Miranda Jordan of Longs SC and Michelle Jarrett of Loris, SC Special uncle and aunt, Richard and Janice Green of Green Sea, SC, and two brothers from another, mother, Roger "Rog" Bellamy and Germaine "G" Macon. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Anthony "Rabbit" Melvin, you will be missed.
