Joseph "Joe" Young

Funeral Services for Mr. Joseph "Joe" Young, age 64 of the Myrtle Beach,  Will be 1:00 pm, Thursday at  Mason Temple Church of God in Christ, 1501 7th Avenue.  Conway.  The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 5-7 on Wed. Jan. 9.

Mr. Joseph Young was born on December 7, 1954 to the late James Young and Josephine Anderson in Holy Hill, SC.  He departed this life on January 2, 2019.

Joseph was a graduate of Holly Hill-Roberts High School.  While in high school he played baseball and he later attended  Morris College, Sumter, SC. 

Joseph gave his life to Christ and attended Conway Church of Christ.  Joseph was married to the late Dianne Jenkins Young for over forty-one years and to this union they were blessed with two sons.  

He was employed with the following establishments as a chef:  Myrtle Beach Martinique for fifteen years, Beach Colony for five years and Chestnut Hill for eight years.

Joseph is preceded in death by his a parents, his wife and three siblings:  James Louis Young of Greenville , NC, Lurene Sweet( Benjamin) of Holly Hill, SC and Wille Mae Morrison of Brooklyn, NY.  

Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Salathian Merelle ( Aprell) Young and Shalylen Jawon Young, both of Myrtle Beach, SC;  one grandson, Kamren Kale of Chicago, IL; two siblings, Robert Lee Young ( Barbara)  of Conway, SC.  and Timothy Young (Rita) of Columbia, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and a very special friend, King.
