Funeral Services for Mrs, Theresa Poinsette Wesley will be held on Saturday December 1st at 11:00 am, Bethel A.M.E. Church-Conway. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens-Conway.
On Saturday, November 24, 2018, Day 328 of 365 days God called our dearly beloved, THERESA POINSETTE WESLEY home to rest. He said "be encouraged. I can hear yours prayers. I know what you are going through. I am your SAVIOR, KEEP your faith and your FOCUS ON ME. Everything will be alright, claim it and receive it by faith." So, at 8:20 in the evening at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Virginia Beach, Virginia, she answered His call.
Born May 27, 1932, to the late Daisy Green Dolly and Noah Poinsette in Conway,SC on May 2, 1965 she joined into holy union with the late Charlie Cleveland Wesley. At an early age, she joined Bethel AME Church. She served faithfully on the; Stewardess Board and was a member of the Senior Circle. Theresa ( aka: Estelle) attended public schools in Conway and graduated from Howard High School in Georgetown, SC. She was employed at Conway Hospital ( Now Conway Medical Center ) for 43 years. She will be remembered for being The First Black Ward Secretary at the Hospital.
Her precious memories will always be cherished by her Children Gloria (Henry) Singleton of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Michael Poinsette of the home, Conway, SC. Four sisters; Dorothy Woodbury of Conway,SC, Mary and Ida Poinsette of Bronx, NY and Dorothy( Jimmy) Smith of Conway, SC one brother Noah Poinsette of Conway,SC.; Eight grandchildren , Seven great grandchildren; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She also had a special place in her heart for Wyonne Dennison and Gina Livingston ( Nieces) a very special friend Meredith Alston and Theresa Richardson ( friendly caregiver).
