Albert James Woodard was a devoted member at Way of the Cross Family Worship Center under the servant leadership of Bonnie A. Blain where he served in the capacity as a Deacon for many years. As God led him, he became a pastor at his own church Way of Salvation, Upon the demise of Pastor Snowree Woodard, he then joined True Way Holiness Church of Jesus Christ where he served as a devoted member. He was educated in the Horry County Public School System, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service, learning, and spiritual growth.

Albert was employed with J. Johnson Grading & Paving, LLC for many years working alongside his son-in-law, Jimmy Johnson and grandchildren who owns the family business. He epitomized the very essence of working diligently, took pride in being a truck driver, and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved deeply, taking road trips to Florida, and enjoying the simple things that he loved to do like watching NASCAR, wrestling, and classic westerns. Most importantly he enjoyed talking about the goodness of the Lord.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie J. Woodard and Althea Weaver Woodard, his beloved wife Leona Livingston- Woodard, his daughter Gloria Bryant Johnson, his siblings, Bishop Tommie Woodard, Levi Woodard, Bishop Lonnie Woodard, Ronald Woodard, and Charles Woodard.

On Saturday May 31, 2025, at the age of 80, Albert peacefully passed away surrounded by his family's love at Embrace Hospice House located in Carolina Forest. Though he is no longer with us, His legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all those he touched.

He leaves to cherish his memories the children, Kelvin (April) Woodard, Bernita (Harold) Rodgers, Don (Marcia) Gause, Van Gause, Lendrell Gause, Lavonya Wilson, one son-in-law, Jimmy Johnson, a devoted sister-in-law, Overseer Annie Bell Woodard both of SC; sisters Lelia Bell Wrisper, Carolyn Coakley, Maxine (Ron) Pughsley all of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Mary Jackson of Covington, GA; Joyce Parker of Loris, SC; brothers : Bishop William (Shirley) Woodard of Shallotte, NC, and Andrew(Virginia) Woodard of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Albert also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
