Annie Gore Obituary

Deaconess Annie Mae (Bellamy) Gore, affectionally known as “Momma”, was called home to be with God on Monday, December 7, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Annie Mae, daughter of the late Archie and Cora Bellamy, was born April 16, 1932 in Longs, S.C.  She was raised and educated in the Freemont Section of Longs, S.C.  At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Freemont Missionary Baptist Church.

On May 5, 1955 she married the love of her life, Sam T. Gore, Sr. and the union was blessed with five children.  She and her loving husband moved to Trenton, N.J. to settle down and raise their family.

Annie Mae was previously employed with Circle F Industries in Trenton, N.J.  She later went to work at Carter-Wallace Laboratories in Cranbury, N.J. where she retired after 20 years of service.  After retirement she returned home to South Carolina and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess. She was a member of the Kingston Lake Deacon and Deaconess Union, a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Society and served on the Pastor Aid Committee and the Kitchen Committee.  She was a faithful member until her health failed.

Annie Mae loved her family and enjoyed attending family reunions and looked forward to them every year.  She also loved her church family and was particularly fond of Pastor and First Lady Gore.  She even created special bonds with her Carter-Wallace family, especially Pia & Lowery Burgess and Josephine & Joe Di Matteo.

Annie Mae loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and she cherished the relationships she had with her nieces and cousins who she grew up with.  She was known for cooking big Sunday dinners and loved to see her family and friends enjoy her home cooked meals.

Annie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Sam T. Gore, Sr.; two daughters, Bobbie Jean Bellamy and Linda Gore Griffith; and fourteen siblings, Lacey, Eddie Bell, Ossie, Mary Lee, Foster, Eddie, N.J., Flossie, Lillie Mae, Pearline, Carlene, S.J., Earline, and Leo.  Annie Mae was the last surviving child of Archie and Cora Bellamy.

Annie Mae will be dearly and forever missed.  She leaves to cherish her memories two devoted daughters, Cynthia Gore (Douglas), of the home; Marsha Gore-Smith (Greg) of Trenton, N.J.; and one loving son, Sam T. Gore, Jr. (Quiana) of Trenton, N.J.; seventeen Grandchildren, Marlinea Bellamy, Joseph Bellamy, Michelle Bellamy, Natalie Bellamy, Frederick Vereen, Tiasha Caldwell, Floydette Griffith, Juanita Ledlow, Danyiel Smith, Kenneth Savage, Brittny Gore-Johnson, Korii Gore, Ashley Jones, Nazim Wright, Sam T.
