Carlleen, you have been in my family’s life since before I was born, and have stayed there with all of us this entire time! I will never forget all the things you personally helped me through as I was growing up in high school, dealing with things most typical high schoolers don’t go through. But you guided me in the right direction and were part of the dream team that kept me on the somewhat “straighten” arrow. All your thoughts and help planning my wedding was a god send, and it truly made us sad when you couldn’t come, but we understood. And now, I sit here with this box of beautiful gifts that Erica found amongst your things that you didn’t have the opportunity to send yourself. They are absolutely perfect and will always remind us of the amazing family friend we will forever cherish. Say hi to mommy and pop for me please. Mawmaw and I promise to keep things under control down here. Love and miss you! Prayers to Eddy, Erica, and the rest of the family and friends grieving over this beautiful life!

My dear friend. We have laughed, cried, gossiped about so many things since we first met in 1980. and believe it or not, even argued over politics LOL (even tho we are both true conservatives. Such great times and wonderful memories. You’ve been there for me through thick and thin. I write you this now because it’s time to catch up on all my thank you’s to you and Eddy. The tragedy of the loss of Cindy and Rex, your words are in my heart and memories. The plans and help you gave on Breanne’s wedding, the help and understanding for Connor’s friend’s situation. All the political help on the Reagan campaign, on my campaign and all the others. So many things to thank you for. I remember how excited you were when you and Eddy were invited to be a host and hostess at President Ronald Reagan’s Inaugural Ball held at the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC. What an experience we had that evening Carlleen M. Shifflett Cairns, I could go on and on. You are a true friend to me, my family and to so many others I will miss you deeply. Rest In Peace my friend. Kiss Rex and Cindy for me. And I hope to se you again when God calls me. Love you and thank you for the memories.

We remember what a beautiful, loving, and smart little girl Carlleen was.  We were not able to be together often through the years, but each time we were it was a delight to sit and catch up.  Her passionate love for her family and convictions were evident.  She was a good communicator and a loving niece.  Our prayers loving sympathy goes out to all of her famiy and dear friends.

What a blessing Carlleen was to me.  I'll always cherish the days of our friendship.  We met through a writing group held at our Messianic synagogue.  Then she started attending our Shabbat services weekly.  Our husbands became friends, too, and enjoyed golfing together.  Carlleen and I hit it off and had so much in common.  I admired her spunky courage.  She was a champion for the underdog, a fearless fighter for what she believed in.  We held the same political beliefs and worked to make our country great again.  We laughed together.  We cried together.  We prayed together.  When she and Eddy took off on their RV adventure, I missed her so much.  But, through the internet and the telephone we stayed close.  When they settled down in S.C., we still stayed fast friends.  They'd visit us and we'd visit them.  I have so many sweet memories of her.  She was like the sister I never had.  I learned so much from her through our talks and through her actions.  She was an unforgettable, strong, amazing woman.  I was blessed to have her in my life.  The pain of her loss is great, so I know her loved ones are in much more pain than I.   My love and prayers go out to them and to all who knew and loved her.  She was loving, kind, caring, giving, and we all will miss her.  We have the blessed hope of seeing her again and that will be a wonderful glorious day - all thanks to our wonderful Lord and Savior Yeshua the Messiah.

I first met Carlleen when she was about five, before her Uncle Tim and I were married.  She was beautiful, friendly and loving, and very wise for her years.  Although we were not able to be together very often over the years, each time we were together we were impressed by her passion for her family, her intelligence, and her ability to communicate..  We were grateful for those precious times.  Our loving sympathy to each one of her family.
