Carlleen Cairns

On Sunday, March 7th 2021, Carlleen Mary (Shifflett) Cairns, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 66.

Carlleen was born on October 27, 1954 in Bethesda, Maryland. On January 20, 1973, she married John Edward Cairns.  Together they settled in Mechanicsville, Maryland and raised two daughters, Crystal and Erica.  

Carlleen’s greatest passion was her family.  She was an enthusiastic mother and Nana, dedicating her time and energy to fostering a loving environment, complete with over-the-top birthday parties and family get-togethers.  Her and her husband fulfilled their dream of traveling across America before settling in Conway, South Carolina.  She was known for her deep religious faith, political convictions, sense of humor and kindness.  She will be missed by those that loved her.

Carlleen was preceded in death by her father, Patrick, her mother, Cynthia and her maternal grandmother, Hyacinth.  She is survived by her husband Eddy, two children, Crystal and Erica, and her four grandchildren, Jay, Collin, Ethan and William.
