Nothing.....will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 8:39 NCV
Our Heavenly Father whispered for his child Cynthia Dozier Lewis to join him in heaven on January 1, 2022, at Grand Strand Medical Center. Cynthia Dozier Lewis was born April 1, 1957, to Benjamin May and the late Ruby Dozier May. Cynthia attended Poplar Elementary and graduated from Loris High School in 1975. After graduation, she enrolled at Horry Georgetown Technical College and would go on to obtain her office clerk certification. After college, Cynthia worked for Waccamaw Pottery and Holiday Inn laundry services. Her passion for organization and cleanliness led to an exemplary career in the cleaning service sector for 30 plus years.
Cynthia was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary #1 MBC, with a long list of services. She served as a member of the YWA's/Missionaries and in her youth on the Junior Choir. Additionally, Cynthia held positions on the program and kitchen aide committees. She served as Mt. Calvary #1 Sunday School Superintendent until her departure.
Cynthia was an avid community service activist. She was a member of the Concerned Citizen's Operation Reach-Out Organization. Cynthia's unwavering love for her community fueled her dedication to educating others about the importance of voting in local, state, and national elections. Her selfless work led to countless registered voters throughout Horry County. In addition to educating and registering young and older voters, she also volunteered her time at the Pleasant Hill Voting Precinct.
Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and collecting dolls. She was always ready to share her wisdom and advice with everyone. She was a secret keeper, good listener, cheerleader, and overall encouraging person. Her smile would light up a room whenever she entered. Cynthia left a lasting impression on those she crossed paths with.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her loving memories: a devoted husband Humprey Lewis, one loving son Kerry Dozier and one cherished granddaughter Karina Dozier.
