Elliot Lamont Huggins

Minister Elliot Lamont Huggins., passed into eternal rest on Saturday, November 9, 2024, unexpectedly, at his home in Bucksport, South Carolina. He has gone to join his beloved father, sister, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.

“Ell”, as he was affectionately called, was the son of the late Eric Willis Huggins, Sr. and Patricia Sherman Huggins, was born on November 5, 1987, in Conway, South Carolina.  At an early age, he joined the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Family. As he grew in his love of the Lord, his membership transitioned to The Living Word Bible Fellowship Church where he was ordained as a minister. He was educated in the Horry County Public Schools, graduating with the Conway High School Class of 2006. During his life, Elliot’s light shined, daily. He was known for his smile and the impact that he had on every environment he entered. He was known as our Gentle Giant, and most recently during our Cousin’s Retreat, he was referred to as the “Lover” cousin because he was, truly, a lover of people!

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving mother, Patricia Sherman Huggins, two brothers: Erwin Bryant Sherman of the home, and Eric Willis Huggins, Jr. of Socastee, SC, and two loving nieces: Kyriana Days and Elaijah Huggins, and nephews: Daquan Huggins and Taquan Turner. In addition, he leaves to cherish his memories, his special friend whom he loved and cherished, Ashley Hemingway. He also leaves to cherish his memories: eight aunts, seven uncles, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
