Fronie Mae McCray

Mrs. Fronie Mae Smith McCray was born August 3, 1948 to the late Elijah and Fronie B. Smith. On Saturday, October 23, 2021, she peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home. 

Fronie accepted Christ as her personal saviour and was a faithful member of New Bethel AME Church of Loris, SC. She served on the usher board for many years. She was employed with Carolina Grande Resorts until her health began to fail. 

Fronie is preceded in death by her husband, Isiah McCray, one son Tracy and two grandchildren Shakita and Princeton. Two sisters, Mattie Mitchell and Kazzie Garner and one brother, Elijah Smith. 

Those left to cherish her memories are her two sons, James O'Neil Smith of Conway, SC, and Anderica (Simone) McCray of Myrtle Beach, SC; three daughters, Ceann Spivey of Myrtle Beach, SC, Valeria McCray of Charlotte, NC, and Stephanie McCray of Conway, SC; two sisters, Selena (JP) Pryor of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sarah (Trenton) Ford of Conway, SC; one brother, Norris Smith of Conway, SC; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two devoted nieces, Shan Garner-Smalls and Fronie Garner both of Conway, SC and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

To our friends and families, in an effort to ensure the health and safety of everyone during this challenging time, and minimize the spread of COVID-19, we ask that all adhere to the precautions and guidelines established for attendance at the funeral home (mandatory masks) and (masks) at graveside services and practicing social distancing.  Anyone who exhibits symptoms please show your support by sending flowers and words of comfort to the family.
