Mrs. Gussie Mae James Marion, was born on May 22, 1947 to the late Andrew James, Sr and Kirrie Williams James of Conway, South Carolina. “Ms. G”, as she was fondly called, accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Horry County Public Schools. She was employed with American Gear & Pinion and with Horry County School District as a Teacher’s Assistant. Later, she became an entrepreneur opening a business in Loris, South Carolina until her health begin to decline. "Ms. G" departed this life on February 14, 2020 at McLeod Health Seacoast in Little River, South Carolina. She leaves to cherish her memories to her children: Pealie Morant of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dennis James (Tammy) of Lantana, Texas, Ronnie James of Conway, South Carolina, Sharon Bromell (Melvin) of Marion, Virginia, Kimberly Mouzon (Jonathan) of Bel Air, Maryland; sister: Josephine James of Tabor City, North Carolina; special cousin who’s like a sister, Willie Mae Scott of Conway, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, and a special friend, Shelvedene Asbury of Conway, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Jaine Mae James, Mary Watson, Elizabeth Smith, and Letha Green; brothers: Andrew James Jr, and Jessie James.
