Jacquelyn E. Jones-Smith was the youngest of 8 children born in Conway, SC on April 1, 1964 to Mary Jones and the late Heywood E. Jones Sr. She transitioned to her heavenly home on February 4, 2021 at Conway Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Jackie was a loving, kind, supportive and generous person who loved her family and friends. Jackie never met a stranger and left an impression on the heart of all people she met. She will be truly missed by those who had the opportunity to be apart of her life. Jackie was a 1982 graduate of Conway High School where she was a member of the marching band, color guard and she was awarded many certificates while working as a Guidance Office Aide. Jackie joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Rufus J. Daniels.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Katelyn Barnes, grandmother: Katie Floyd Carter, sister: Katie Jones Willard, two brothers: Ernest C. Jones and George R. Jones, and sister in-law Regina Jones.
Left to cherish her precious memories are: Her three daughters Lakita Jones and Ashley Jones both of Conway, SC and Anastasia (Eugene) Frazier of Fort Stewart GA Six grandchildren: Jacquez, KiAndra, Darnell, Evan, Iris, Xavier; two great-grandchildren: Princeton and Brayden; Her mother: Mary Jones of Conway, SC. One sister Diann (Lawrence Burns) Jones of Wilson NC. Three brothers: Heyward E. (Nora) Jones Jr. of Longs, SC. Joe K. Jones and Raymond (Faye) Jones both of Conway, SC. A special nephew Terry "Bum" (Cynthia) Jones of Conway, SC. One honorary son Darnell Green Sr. of Conway, SC. Aunt Aline M. Floyd of Conway, SC. Close friends: Annette Alston, Delores Marlow, Peggy Livingston, Irvin Eaddy and David Allen; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
