Jaquetta Rosetta Hamilton, born on January 28, 1972, transitioned from this life on May 20, 2025. A radiant soul filled with creativity, love, and unwavering faith, Jaquetta leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy.
Born to Jamaca Anthony Hamilton and Myra Jeanette Johnson, Jaquetta was a proud graduate of Edmondson High School (Class of 1990). She continued her education in cosmetology, where she discovered her passion for beauty and personal care. Her professional journey was diverse and vibrant, including roles as a skilled cosmetologist, lead mailroom clerk at Bank of America, retail sales associate, event planner, and food reviewer.
Her creativity extended into her hobbies—jewelry making, interior decorating, party design, and creative cooking. Her presence brightened every room, and her love for transforming spaces and moments was truly remarkable.
Jaquetta’s spiritual journey led her through several churches, including First Baptist Church of Cherry Hill, New Christian Fellowship, New Hope Baptist Church, and finally Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She served her faith community through roles in the junior nurses, choir, and junior ushers.
In 2022, Jaquetta embraced a new chapter in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she continued to spread her light and kindness. She is survived by her cherished children, Jayden Anthony Carter, Zarrell Rhames, Zmari Rhames, Zariah Rhames, and Zee Rhames; her parents Jamaca Anthony (Mary) Hamilton and Myra Jeanette Johnson and her adored grandchildren. She also leaves behind four uncles, five aunts, three brothers, three sisters, and the loving memories of her extended family and friends.
Her vibrant smile, dedication to her family and church, and her creative spirit will forever be missed by all who knew her.
