Joan Younne (Evans) Huggins

Joan Y. Huggins was a mother of 5 children whom she loved very much.  She was a woman of much strength in mind and a great believer in the Lord who she learned about, worshiped and adored until the sun sat upon her life on June 19, 2020 at 6:13 pm. She spent much of her life helping others not only those she knew personally but also imperfect strangers.

Until her health began to decline she would help feed the hungry, uplift other seniors at the center she spent time at and simply people she met in the businesses she shopped at.   She is survived by 4 living children: Robert A. Evans, Dewayne Huggins, Parissa M. Burton and Lindelle Huggins; one sister: Diana Harris, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and two nieces.   Her strength, drive and ambition will be greatly missed. Her compassion will be remembered. Her wisdom will live on throughout the generations.
