Mary Livingston Obituary

On Thursday, June 11,1936 in Wampee, South Carolina our Loving and Merciful Father Blessed this world with Ms. Mary Nell Livingston, to the late Mr. Irving Livingston and Mrs. Luzenia V. Livingston. On Friday, December 8, 2023 Our Heavenly Father whispered her name, extended His hands and lead His daughter to her heavenly home.

Mary Nell accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age placing her confidence solely in Him, embracing His word, His will, and His way. She was a faithful member of Popular A.M.E Church where her leadership and devotion would lead her to become Superintendent of the Sunday School program, President and member of the Senior Choir and a diligent member of the Prayer Band Committee. Educated in the Horry County School system and employed as an exceptional chef Mary Nell would make everlasting friendships that filled her life with joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Irving Livingston. Sixteen sisters, Coretha L. Green, Alatha L. Claridy, Melverene Livingston, Ida Mae Livingston, Eva Dell L. Graham, Adro L. Edge, Viler Livingston, Naomi L. Sanders, her twin Annie Nell L. Willard, Addie L. Vereen, Martha L. Dewitt, Bessie L. Vereen Annie L. Register, Inez L. Vereen, Beulah L. Hemingway, and Stacy L. Bryant. Seven brothers, Levern “Cook” Livingston, John F. Vereen, Isaiah Livingston, Carl A. Livingston, Roosevelt Livingston, Story Livingston, and Garland O. Livingston. Two sons Louis H. Livingston and Jimmy M. Livingston, one daughter Yvette Livingston. Four grandsons, Russell D. Livingston, Robert D. Livingston, Christopher O. Minnigan, and Corey Long, one granddaughter Latetea Q. Livingston, and two great grandsons Terale A. Claridy -Vaught and Terry Sherman Jr. One of many special nieces Lou Marie Vereen.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memory and carry her loving legacy on, five daughters Wilhelmenia (Jason) Livingston, Patricia Livingston, Sylvia (Joe) Pittman, Alfreda C. Livingston, and Yvonne L. Suarez. Three sons Wayne (Robin) Livingston, Ellis O. Livingston, Morgan (Cynthia) Livingston, and one nephew left in her loving care Roosevelt Vernon Livingston. Nieces and nephews reared in the home, Betty Lou Livingston, Kelvin (Lois) Livingston, Ricky (Alene) Livingston, Lucinda Livingston and Lucille (Spencer) Gause. (28) grandchildren, (62) great-grandchildren, (18) great-great grandchildren She also leaves to cherish her memory her endearing friends Carolyn Lane, Bernice Dewitt, Sarah Stanley, Bennie Vaught, Viola Hemingway, Rev. Rena Bell Livingston, and Sarah Stevenson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
