Our beloved Cora, was a loving nurturing woman who entered the world as Cora Lee Gee on February 4, 1947, in Timmonsville, South Carolina. Cora's parents, Sam Gee, Jr. and Ethel Mae Cain-Gee who preceded her in death. Cora received her early education in the Timmonsville school system. In her teen years her family moved to Aynor, South Carolina where she met her future husband, the love of her life, Phillip John Small, Jr. Cora and Phillip made the decision to go south, and left South Carolina for better opportunities, relocating to Miami, FL. Coconut Grove the first city and community in Miami, FL became Cora and Phillip's new home. Cora took on the opportunity to go back to school, she obtains her high school diploma at Coral Gables Sr. High Adult Education Center.

Cora was a very ambitious and a hard worker, she obtained many jobs from cashiering, house cleaning and dietary which she enjoyed working at Gulliver Prep Academy. Cora loved her family, and being the fifth child out of sixteen. Cora always wanted to have family gatherings and take the responsibility preparing most of the meals. Cooking with love always, and everyone loved her cooking especially the mac n cheese. All holidays and special occasions were a reason to celebrate and spend time with family. Cora saw no wrong that could not be forgiven because she believed everyone should have an opportunity for a second, third, fourth and fifth chance never judging, always looking at what matter most, a peaceful resolution.

On July 7, 2024, Cora answered God's call and our love one gained access into the gates of heaven dancing on streets made of gold. Cora, my child, your work here is done. Although her earthly life has come to an end her everlasting life has just begun.
