Mrs. Rosa Jenkins, the daughter of the late Izell and Sarah Black Phillips, was born November 22, 1939 in Sumter, South Carolina.
She attended the school of Sumter County, South Carolina. At an early age, she joined Beulah A.M.E. Church in Sumter, South Carolina, later in life moving to Nichols, South Carolina. She got married to Albert Jenkins, Jr. She was the mother of one son.
Rosa was a very loving and kind hearted person. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.
Rosa was preceded in death by her father, mother, all her sisters, brothers, son and husband. She leaves to cherish her memories to Jeremiah Temoney, who help taking care of her, his wife Ella Temoney, two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that loved her dearly. Aunt Rosa loved all her family!
There were two nephews that she loved liked her sons: When she had no way to turn, no place to live, Randy Johnson gave her a place to live and treated her like a mother. When Rosa Lee got sick and confused and no place to call home, Deacon Jerry Temoney with God’s help and a praying family took care all of her needs until God called her to her third home.
